Bead Blast Re-cap

Hello beady friends!

Wow! What a weekend! I was so tired from the weekend I had to regroup yesterday(which didn't exactly happen either since there was stuff to do around the yard like MOW IT! Yikes!!).

Where do I start??? I met some AMAZING people at the show this year! I finally got to meet Kristin, my beady girl I met through my blog. You can check her out on Etsy at Waking Beauty Designs. She does some amazing jewelry. If you have not seen her fibery earrings you need to get yourself a pair. I got to see them in her mom's ears in person and they are totally FAB! Her, her hubby and mom are just the sweetest people ever ;)

I also had the pleasure of meeting the AMAZING, Tera Belinsky-Yoder of Beady Girl Beads.
If you have not seen her beads you HAVE to go check her out. Her beads are INCREDIBLE! She has such precision with her heat control and dots and uses vivid opaques with black. Did I mention she is a sweet girl too?! In this pic you can see the bead I got from her in a trade with my glass and New lampwork glasses I got from ABR Imagery!!

I finally got to meet Tracee of The Classic Bead as well! We actually met over the phone when I was working at Bead Boutique before I went to doing fulltime lampwork. She makes some AMAZING clay pendants! Her Etsy shop is The Classic Bead. We traded beads and I just LOVE my pendant!

I was also excited to meet Cindy Carnes from the Omaha Lampworkers group! She is such a sweetie. She has these amazing WHOPPER beads on too! Her pendant was these 3 very large encased floraly twist beads. She is actually in the trade on LE if you want to swing by and take a looksy ;) I tried to find her website, but couldn't track it down :(

Last, but not least, thanks to everyone who came and supported us at the show! We could not do what we are doing without you! Thanks to my girls at Bead Boutique! We had a GREAT show didn't we?! We ended the night with some AMAZING sushi after the show. Yum yum! If you are local you HAVE to check out Mr. Lee's Sushi over on Parvin and Brighton! They have the BEST sushi ever!

I will be updating the shops soon and melting some of my new glass! Stay tuned for more!

Much love,

Genea
