Soldered Charm Tutorial GIVE-AWAY!

Hello friends!

Now who doesn't love a give-away?! Ok so with the latest release of my soldered charm tutorial in Glass Pattern's Quarterly I thought it would be fun to give away a copy! GPQ was kind enough to send me 5 issues so I thought I would share the creativity.
Here is what the magazine and last page of the article look like.
Here is the charm I demonstrate how to make.
Here was the inspiration for the charm. I used the little cardboard insert that came with my gorgeous new comforter from Target :D

So what do you have to do to win? Just leave me a comment and tell me why you would like to learn the technique and how you would incorporate it into your design. Please also include your e-mail so that if you win I am able to contact you!

Please post from now through March 25th for your chance to win!

The winner will be picked by using random.org.

Good luck!

Much love,

Genea

I would love to learn a new technique on my qwest to becoming a more well-rounded mixed media artist! I would incorporate the technique with my gemstones into a mixed media necklace or bracelets...maybe some wine charms?????The possibilities are endless..How about wedding favors...? Just B.

I would love to win your tutorial in the Glass Pattern Quarterly. I have the all the stuff to make them but never did anything with it. I think they would look good as a focal for a necklace. ferrarioriginalbeads@yahoo.com

Congrats! I used to do stained glass way back in high school and really enjoyed it. Haven't worked with a soldering iron since then, think I still have one. This would be a great opportunity to encourage me to give this technique a try!

Congrats on your article! I would like to win this because I have already tried to make soldered charms and failed, so I would like to find out what I did wrong! My solder wouldn't stick to the copper tape, and it was basically a disaster :(

Thanks for the giveaway!!

I am up for learning anything new, it's the learning and experimenting that is fun!

Congrats on being published! The charm looks so cool. :D I have been wanting to learn soldering for a while because I want to make charms and focals like the beautiful ones I see everywhere. Plus, living on the Great Lakes, I have tons of beautiful water-smoothed glass pieces I would love to do something with and this seems like a perfect idea for those!

Congrats on the publication! I would love to learn how to make these as well....soldered charms and pendants are something I've wanted to learn for some time but I've never taken the time. They sure look like fun to make!

Oh Genea, I'm so silly, I didn't tell you about why I would love to learn soldering...well, I have wanted to have a go at soldering and some metalsmithing for a long time. I am scared of it and an orderly tutorial would really help me out!

It's ok Rebecca, I forgive you ;) Awww don't be afraid. I have learned to just jump right in. Those are the times when you end up creating something really awesome and realize that you could do it all along ;)
