A taste of Mexico

Hello friends!

Today I have another quick shop update with more later. I know... I totally suck! I have a ton of pictures and information for you as soon as I get everything shot and edited, so there will be some super awesome blogs coming. It will totally be worth the wait!

Today from Mexico I have a pair of "Mexico" loopy ding earrings! This style wing ding was inspired by the lovely frit glassware in Mexico. I did an earlier knotted earring design that inspired this embellished design. I chose bold colors like what you would see in Mexico like orange, cobalt blue and lime green!
Today's SNEAK PEEK second listing(later this evening) is one of my Lovie Buttons called "Midnight Electricity". This button is made out of cobalt blue and super yellowy green odd lot Key Lime! The button shank is periwinkle with coral freckles! As most of you may know I am not usually a dark color kind of girl so these items are WAY dark for my usual tastes!

Enjoy!

Much love,

Genea

Tropical treat

Hello friends!

Ok so today we are trying out this new listings thing where I will be listing one item now and one later. Normally this would be earlier, but I was whisked away for Mongolian BBQ this morning for lunch/breakfast :D

First I have this SUPER BRIGHT and fantastic "Hawaiian Lei" fringe bracelet to offer. It is full of fantastic fringies with Swarovski crystal, flowers, leaves, drops, daggers, spade drops and all sorts of whimsical things. These bracelets are so much fun! I guarantee you will spend the day admiring it and finding new pretties every time you wear it!
Later this evening I will be offering this fantastic of "Persimmon" tangled vine earrings! They are SO bright and would look fantastic with the fringe above! Again, you are getting a sneak peek of the second item I will be listing later today so this is pretty exciting! :D

Well I have a busy day AGAIN so I need to get on some testing before I go to the gym.

I will try to get these other pics I took up on my blog soon. I took some picture of my progress on my yard and garden. I spent 3 hours working in my yard that day and I am really pleased with the results. I can't wait until we can harvest some veggies :D

Have a fantastic day!

Much love,

Shop update more later

Hello friends!

I will just be doing a quick shop update for now and do some more pics and bloggy type stuff later. For today I have listed my items like normal(2 a day in the late morning/afternoon). I will be trying a different approach tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be listing one item in the morning and one in the evening to see if listing an item at different times keeps me on the currently listed items in Etsy. I will let you all know how this works.

Moving on....

Lime and Aqua today! I have one of my Love & Harmony rings that would match perfectly with my "Artistic Eye" pendant I just listed on Friday!
I love the danglyness of this ring and it's sweet little tinkle. How wonderous to sound like a fairy :)

Next I have a blooming daisy ring. This is SO much fun to wear!
Well I must be off. I have A LOT of testing to do today!

More later.....

Much love,

Genea

Eyes and COLOR

Hello friends!

I have some of my favorites I saved for today! I have a wonderful soldered charm and lampwork dangle pendant and a fantastic set of super colorful beads that would make a lovely dangle pendant!Isn't it AWESOME?! You know how much I love eyes! I used this sweet eye image and paired it with one of the fortunes I got. This pendant is totally EYETASTIC! There are eyes all over and of course a heart with lime green and aqua and a super cool eye bead!

This set has a super neato sucker bead, flat flowers and some funky rounds! Horay for color!

Well it looks like my Etsy posts didn't publish to Facebook like they were supposed to BUMMER! I will have to check the forums and see whats up.

I still didn't get to making some beads! Ugh.. what slacker! I have just been SUPER busy with other stuff. Looks like I will get some new fancies made early next week. Stay tuned!

I hope you all have a fun and safe 4th!

Much love,

It's never ending, isn't it?

Hello friends!

I have some pretty pastels for you today :)

First is "Awakening". This little design was born in a fit of inspiration. It is kind of fringy, kind of dandly and AWESOME!

Next is "Flutters" Wing Dings. This shape is so much fun. People tell me the look like butterflies :) There really is so much you can do with this fun little shape.
Boo on more programs! I guess there is not a connector from Etsy to Facebook. Yes, I did connect them. Ugh.. it just seems like there is SO much out there to be done online. They are always coming up with new ways to add new things to this and that. Too bad it takes ALL day :( I really would rather spend my time creating.... I guess this is supposed to be a pretty cool feature though. When you post on Etsy it will post it on your Facebook profile page. That is kind of a bummer that it doesn't post to your page instead since I use my page for my Genea Beads stuff. Oh well. Close enough right?

I just contacted this old server for my domain(which I got like 6 years ago and was abandoned, but stuck in cyberlimbo). I hope they get back to me so I can have the domain again. I am thinking that having geneabeads.com will help google find me more easily than just a bagillion posts on Etsy.

Well we didn't get the fence done, but it's really no biggie. I guess we will get it done later.

I have been diligently working out at the gym. I feel really good. I always have Ricky push me really hard when I am lifting.

I am really enjoying my little waterbottle charm. I was looking at it on the way to the gym and some inspiring thoughts came to me. I think I will make some beads for those ideas to get my creative train back on the tracks again. I am feeling kind of out of it lately. I think all of this computer crap is bogging me down. It just takes a huge block of time to read, add new programs, take photos, edit photos, add items to Etsy, blog and then twitter, facebook and all that jazz. I get kind of fried by the time I am done.

Well on that note. I need to go do what I do best, CREATE. Hopefully I will get some designing done and have pics for you :)

Much love,

Genea

Hippy beads and garden creatures

Hello friends!

Well it sure was nice to visit with Steph today and see Donovan. My goodness is he getting BIG! I spent the morning spending time with them and checking out one of our landlords other properties for Steph to rent. It's super cute!

So before I get TOO into my daily happenings I will get to today's listings.

First off I have "Earth Peace Butterfly". This bead is really fantastic! It is one of the LARGEST beads I have made and I only made 3. This is the LAST of the 3 and I am not sure if I will make more so this might be one of those beads you want to snag right away. It is made with wonderful earth tones and an accent turquoise peace sign.

Next is "Acid Rain". This is another one of those beads from my hot head days. I tried to replicate the colors on my minor and couldn't get these yellow tones. This has an amazing shimmer twist in the center and "oil slick" dots on the surface.
The "oil slicks" aren't as apparent in the picture, but they are super hard to photograph! You will catch a couple glimpses of the amazing variety of colors in this pic.

Well we still have to get that fence and tomato fence up, but we got that stupid half done koi pond bowl(for lack of a better term) out of the backyard. Since we hadn't used it for it's intended purpose it had turned into a mosquito hump ground! Yikes! We decided we were pretty tired of getting eaten alive while tending our garden in the evenings so we ripped that sucker out! We pulled it out of the ground to find ants frantically scrampling with their larvae in all directions! Who knew we had an ant colony under that thing?!

I think we might get some garden work done today and then off to the gym again!

I need to get some beads made too!

I hope you all are enjoying today.

Much love,

Genea
