"Coffee Lover's Cup" necklace tutorial on The Art Bead Scene Blog and Shop Update!

Hello friends!

I am excited to announce that I was asked to create a tutorial on my "Coffee Lover's Cup" necklace for the Art Bead Scene Blog!  The original design was based on the coffee beads, coffee themed glass headpins I made for my mother's birthday present this year! So since I had the tutorial completed I thought it might be a smart idea to get crackin' on those beads and headpins! 

Here is a sneak peek at the necklace design! Pretty SCHWEET huh?! I LOVE it, of course since I am a coffee addict :D

NEW IN THE SHOP...

For the "Coffee Lover's Cup" necklace tutorial you will need all 3 sets of coffee beads/headpins below.

 

"Coffee Lover's Cup" bead set. A coffee cup heart focal, 2 coffee bean beads, a coffee mug, and a "triangle" designed round bead with coffee bean dot accents in that YUMMY earth tone palette.

 

 

"Sedona Sunset Pod"- lampwork glass headpin set. Super GORGEOUS dusty rose with rainbowy raku, along with mint green leaves with blushes of aqua.

 

"Rainbow Streamers II"- Who doesn't want to party with these bright colors and swirly ribbon designs?

 

"Earthy Blend" spotty spacers. Another favorite for designs!

 

"Coffee Bean Blend" glass headpins featuring a coffee bean, paddle with heart, paddle with coffee bean, and 2 spotty droplets.

I have a follow-up blog in the works with a design made using my new Bullseye glass from my birthday present and a little blip on making a "Color Profile" for your lampwork bead designs.

Wing Ding Waterfall necklaces, Tri-Flower Trumpets and some Coffee!

*Whew* I did it! Can you believe it? Two blogs in two days?! That must be some sort of record for me! 

So what's the news today? Well I added a few more goodies in the title to the shop! HOORAY! I am really excited to be offering a few beads and a few finished jewelry pieces today. So what's new in the shop, you ask?

 

"Ocean Daisy" Tri-Flower Trumpet. I am really excited to offer one of these awesome focals up again. I get wiped out of them before I can even get them in the shop! 

 

"Bright Crayons"- Wing Ding Waterfall necklace. It's been awhile since I have offered these babies up in the shop as well. They were SUPER popular over the holidays and it has taken me until now to catch up on a few. Enjoy!

More shop goodies! Glass Headpins and Wing Dings!

Hello friends!

Happy Thursday!  So where have I been for btw? Well I no longer have a bead table since my move! Sad face, huh? It's ok though. I have been busily creating beads for you in the mean time. I will get a beady surface coming up here so I can work on some more designing. For now what's left of my computer desk and night stand will have to suffice. 

I took advantage of the SUPER bright sunshine on the summer solstice to do some photographing for the items I am listing today. I am always pleasantly surprised at just how beautifully sunlight kisses glass :D I'm sure you will agree when you see the photos below!

So what's new, you ask?

"Coffee Bean Blend"- remember these? They were in and out of the shop quickly so I wanted to make another set. I really LOVE the sculptural style of these headpins, especially in a coffee theme! :D

 

 

"Coffee Bean Blend 2"- Ok so you are wondering the difference, right? Same awesome shapes with a little switcheroo on colors ;)

 

"Green Sea Paradise"- Yum, huh?! All of my favority stuff! Lime and aquay, glittery, odd lotty. Ok so the y's don't work on everything but the colors and finishes sure do! :D

 

"Rainbow Streamers"- I know, they totally look like balloon's right? With the spiral they totally reminded me of party streamers. You know, the kind you make by running them along scissors? So fun! They totally make me happy with their rainbowiness and shininess.

 

Wing Dings "Bright Earth"- is that an oxymoron? I dunno, but that's what they are, bright and earthy all at the same time! Isn't this color scheme MAGICAL?! I took my  "Earth Blushes" Wing Ding Waterfall necklace colors and added a few extras to make this set of 7. I really LOVE this wonderful color gradation of multi colored glass!

I know, I totally owe you pictures of Portland too. I am slacking. Honestly I am all pictured and descriptioned out at the moment. I promise to add some of my favs soon for all of you that aren't on facebook.

Well it's 4pm here and I am STILL in my pj's from this morning when I started my listings so I think I'm going to get dressed and enjoy the afternoon/evening.

NEW Coffee Themed Beads in the Shop!

Hello friends!

I did it! I did it! I wasn't sure what the day would hold, but since it was BALLS HOT and humid today that meant no lampworking. So instead I roasted on the porch just long enough to shoot some photos for listings!

I was totally in LOVE with the beads and NEW headpins I made for mom's birthday! Incase you didn't see them, here is her set.

Pretty f*ing amazing if I do say so myself!  Well you all know I love coffee and I love you, SO I made more!

So what do I have in the shop for you today?

 

Perfect Cup "Butternut". I do wish the picture wasn't so grainy, but for some reason this baby wasn't cooperating with me inside or outside. I assure you, it's awesome ;)
