More shop goodies! Glass Headpins and Wing Dings!

Hello friends!

Happy Thursday!  So where have I been for btw? Well I no longer have a bead table since my move! Sad face, huh? It's ok though. I have been busily creating beads for you in the mean time. I will get a beady surface coming up here so I can work on some more designing. For now what's left of my computer desk and night stand will have to suffice.

I took advantage of the SUPER bright sunshine on the summer solstice to do some photographing for the items I am listing today. I am always pleasantly surprised at just how beautifully sunlight kisses glass :D I'm sure you will agree when you see the photos below!

So what's new, you ask?
"Coffee Bean Blend"- remember these? They were in and out of the shop quickly so I wanted to make another set. I really LOVE the sculptural style of these headpins, especially in a coffee theme! :D

"Coffee Bean Blend 2"- Ok so you are wondering the difference, right? Same awesome shapes with a little switcheroo on colors ;)

"Green Sea Paradise"- Yum, huh?! All of my favority stuff! Lime and aquay, glittery, odd lotty. Ok so the y's don't work on everything but the colors and finishes sure do! :D

"Rainbow Streamers"- I know, they totally look like balloon's right? With the spiral they totally reminded me of party streamers. You know, the kind you make by running them along scissors? So fun! They totally make me happy with their rainbowiness and shininess.

Wing Dings "Bright Earth"- is that an oxymoron? I dunno, but that's what they are, bright and earthy all at the same time! Isn't this color scheme MAGICAL?! I took my  "Earth Blushes" Wing Ding Waterfall necklace colors and added a few extras to make this set of 7. I really LOVE this wonderful color gradation of multi colored glass!

I know, I totally owe you pictures of Portland too. I am slacking. Honestly I am all pictured and descriptioned out at the moment. I promise to add some of my favs soon for all of you that aren't on facebook.
Well it's 4pm here and I am STILL in my pj's from this morning when I started my listings so I think I'm going to get dressed and enjoy the afternoon/evening.

Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

Hello friends!

Funny to see me here on a Saturday huh? Well I finished up more of the beads from Stringing Spring 2011 and I am excited to say that ALL of them are stocked!

I was lucky enough to have JUST enough glass to get 2 "Transparent Trillium" Gravity Bubbles made! I also made some coffee mugs too! Now everything is all stocked in the shop and ready to go :D
"Transparent Trillium" Gravity Bubble I only have 2 of these babies made! I have been having a heck of a time getting these colors at the moment as you might have seen the other day. I was SO excited to get 2 more made with the glass I had left! You should see the little nubbies that are left. lol
Here is Lorelei's gorgeous necklace!

"Morning Cup"   I just love my little coffee mugs :D They make me really happy!

Anyways, I am going to hop on off, but I will see you soon!

Have a great evening!

Bead Soup Blog Party Beads in the Shop!

Hello friends!

Well it's starting to kind of feel "normal". I am all set up in my new amazing spot in Portland, Oregon and the studio is up and running! It feels great to be making beads and getting back to the normal feeling days!

I FINALLY got the beads listed like the ones I used in the Bead Soup Blog Party necklace called "Gold Dust"! I feel sad it took me SO long to get them listed.

Inspiration is a funny thing. I don't do custom orders because they make me grumpy and sometimes that magic that comes out for special things like the Blog Party jewelry just doesn't work a second time around. I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but inspiration isn't this switch you can just flip on when you need it. It's a very sensitive thing that is highly effected by stress and all sorts of other outside elements.  So, that being said these were the only beads that would come out, so they are the only ones I will be creating. Some of these beads or sets I have two of and I will note that by the listings below.

Want to see the new stuff?

"Biscotti Silver"- I really LOVE this color of odd lot glass with silvered ivory. It's so pretty. Almost has a greenish cast to it. I just love the webbing/ curdled effect of silvered ivory as well. It always makes for pretty beads!   I would probably make more of these beads.

"Bronze Wheelies"- Reduction glass always turns out different metallics every time. Never know what you are going to get ;) I love the metallic with this dreamy sepia tone transparent glass. These are the only ones I have or will be making.

"Cream Silver"- again all about these odd lot glasses. This one is a nice creamy color with a pale pinkish cast to it. So pretty with the silvered ivory. It even has hints of a metallic sheen around some of the bead holes. Looks very vintage. I have 2 sets. I would make more of these.

"Gold Dust Bubble"- this pretty little guy has a slight blue cast to it, but it's just the light reflecting off of it. It's that pretty sepia brown with gorgeous bits of gold and silver looking bits on it. The picture doesn't really do it justice and it's so cute and little compared to some of my other hollows ;) I have 2 of these. Won't be making more.

"River Rock Wheelies"- LOVE this color! It's so streaky and pretty and yummy earthy! I am pretty sure this is a pretty old odd lot. I think I bought it when I lived in Colorado and this baby is gone, gone from stock anywhere! I almost wish I would have bought more!  Only one set. I would probably make more depending on how much glass I have left.

Here is the necklace from the Bead Soup Blog Party if you missed it before. "Gold Dust".
I just LOVE this piece! I wanted to keep it for myself many many times, but everyone loved it to much so I offered it for sale in the shop.  I was so excited to have the very talented and super sweet, Mary Harding for my partner! You can check out her shop here! Lots of Clay awesome!

RE-STOCKS from BEADWORK STRINGING SPRING 2011.....

I got a few things re-stocked from Beadwork, but still need to make more. I'm having a hell of a time trying to stock the teal and pink I used to make the "Transparent Trillium" hollow so none of those for now. I could always make up a waiting list if anyone is interested when I can stock the glass. Just send me a message ;)

Here is Lorelei's gorgeous design again if you missed it ;)

I will be posting more pictures of our trip and Portland in another post, but if you want to see them NOW you can hop over to my Facebook Profile page and check them out :) Just friend request and I will add ya ;)

See you soon!

Have a wonderful day!

The most beautiful place on earth- Portland, OR

Hello friends!

Well we are officially here in Portland, OR!  Wow is it GORGEOUS! It is seriously one of the most beautiful places I have EVER seen!

We drove across the top of the state on 84. It's all mountains/foothills! Then you drop elevation through dense trees on down to sea level! It's so amazing here.

I have been told by the locals that I came at a good time. I guess in the summer time people rejoice the sun. I think the heat followed me. It was in the 80's here and sunny. I got my first Portland sunburn ;) lol

I had hoped to have things up and running by now, but I guess that's my crazy unreasonable expectations. I finally got our room kinda situated. It's hard fitting 1/8 of a houses possessions of your house inside one room with 2 large dog crates! I figure once I get a book shelf and computer desk it will be about as organized as it's going to get for now.

I'm glad to say that the dogs have adjusted really well. There is a nice calm here in the house with our roommates :)

I wish I had pictures for you all, but until the pc is up with our wireless installed properly I'm not able to upload pics or do listings for the shop :( It shouldn't be too much longer though.

We are thinking of going to IKEA soon to check out furniture. I need to get a lampwork desk and chair before I can make some beads. I will be setting up my studio outdoors in a half brick wall car port. We are thinking this should work pretty well. I will just put bags over my equipment when they aren't in use to protect them from the moisture in the air.

Well I just thought I would write you all a quick blip to let you know we arrived safely and are enjoying our new home in the PNW(Pacific North West).

See you soon!
